What's going on, everybody. Welcome to another episode of, uh, gaming with the bros cast episode 113. It is, um, it's a good time to be a gamer. Nick, I'm just gonna jump right into it. It's a great time. Elvin orang is upon us. The hype was real and I think it's lived up to, to anything we could have ever hoped for.

It's

surpassed it surpassed any expectations that I had.

Yeah, it

was, it was so wild seeing just how many, 10 out

of tens of skin this game got. Yeah. When you need sweet it out on like a Wednesday and it was sitting at like a 98 97 for like that whole day. And then, uh, I think I ended up dropping down to like a 95, but that's like the best reviewing game in a long time that I remember, um, just out of a general scoring game based off of other, you know, all the alums and stuff, like most, most stuff recently, it's just been kind of in like the eighties.

It's all been like mid to upper eighties. Yeah. Which is great. I mean, an 88 versus a 92. I mean, not, not a huge difference, but, uh, yeah, it was cool to see it because I mean, we, Hey, we wanted it to be, we want it to review well, but also now that we've got our hands on it, like, it's just, yeah,

it's better than I could've imagined also what's up.

How you doing, man? Uh, it's better than I could've imagined

cure to everything, man. Oh yeah. Yeah. I feel

like I haven't eaten in three days. I haven't used the bathroom in three days. My eye

hurts.

It's fantastic. I mean, should we, should we just jump right into it?

Let's do our normal normal intro. Um, and then we'll, we'll dive into, um, Our experience, I will probably say not, not that it's really hard to spoil and ring, but I think there's a lot of like moments that happened in this game.

Kind of like breath of the wild, where you just come across something random. And so we may talk about some of those things. So if you have not played this game at all, and you just want to go into it, fresh dish, just skip it. I'll have the chapter marks and stuff like that, but we'll, you know, we'll, again, we're not storing stuff.

We're not spoiling that, but

yeah. And we'll keep it to the first couple of

areas. Oh yeah. I mean, we're, we're not like incredibly far in the game yet. Yeah. I mean, you're, you're about eight hours ahead of me next. So you're, you're pretty deep. Um, I'm in a new area and a new spot, but, uh, Nick, before we jump into.

Uh, the game of the year, how was your week?

Uh, it was good. I, I was anticipating out and ring and then this weekend I

played it and that's pretty weak. No, it was

good. I mean, I really, to be honest, I really didn't do much this weekend, aside from aside from playing and rink and watching videos on elder rings.

So it was a great week. It was awesome seeing all the reviews and everything. So Harrison did anything significant happened with you outside of eldering

this week? I did go. Um, my, uh, our mom was at a convention this week. Um, so my dad took Kellen to spend the night on Friday, my son and, uh, Brittany and Kaylee, and I went and saw uncharted.

Um, and it was, it was actually. Really good movie. Okay. Okay. Maybe I'm, maybe I'm using really loosely here, but it was a good movie. Solid, solid. It was solid. I would put it, I would probably put it on the tier that I put it like Sonic, um, as being, and again, this is a video game movie, so expectations are incredibly low.

Um, and I know when they, when they cast it, like Tom Holland, I like Tom Holland. Um, but when you cast it, um, like pretty much the whole internet was just like poopoo in it. Um, but going into the busy he's, it's a, it's a, it's a true origin story for Nathan Drake. Um, and they, they, they use kind of, they go, they don't necessarily follow at the plot of the first game.

They kind of take aspects of each game and kind of throw it in there. Um, but it's a true, it's a true origin story. Um, and by the end you started to see like that, that wise cracking, you know, Nathan Drake, that we're all, you know, we all love and, you know, For aims or whatever. Um, so yeah, it was a, it was a good movie.

It was, it was a fun, you know, popcorn type movie, lots of action. Um, it it's, it's one of those movies though, where, like, I have an issue with whenever you incorporate like, like, um, traps and puzzles, like from a thousands of years ago into like modern society. Cause they're like in Barcelona and there's like, these there's only like there's a wall with like, I can't remember what it says, but it's like a button that they press like, it's a clear indentation of like something that goes in and I'm like, no, one's ever touched that before.

Okay. So it's just, yeah, it's not necessarily uncharteds fault. It's just. You know, what do you, what do you do in a situation like that where you're incorporated like modern society with these old ass traps? Yeah. But even then, like, it's, it's, there's a couple spots where I was just like, okay. But for the most part, it was a, it was a pretty, it was a pretty solid movie.

Um, yes, doodles. I am, um, this is my last week being 29. I'll be 30 on Saturday, which is insane to, uh, to think about. Um, but I am, I've got my tickets to go see Batman on Saturday. So I'm excited for that. Nice.

This was your last week, the last weekend in the twenties, how's it feel? Ah,

you know, some days I feel good.

Some days I could feel it, but it's good. I went run a day. It felt good. All good. Well, happy belated. Birthday noodles. Yeah. Happy belated birthday. Um, so yeah, other than that, um, just I wouldn't ring baby elders ring and Batman looks incredible though. I it's. It's good and great reviews. Oh, I'm really

excited to see, see Robert Pattinson.

Batman is like, I guess it's Christopher Nolan really? That started it, but like, it's become such like a top tier, like whenever a Batman movie, I haven't seen like Batman versus Superman. So I don't, I can't really say much to that just cause I just don't like the tone of DC, uh, the, the DC movies, but, um, yeah, I just feel like Batman it's, it's put on like such a high pedestal.

Yeah. Um, you know, and for good reason, I mean,

it's cool. Yeah. I think, I think ever since the dark nights kind of like

elevated,

elevated Batman to this, like just this level of just above.

Everyone else. Yeah. Uh, noodles. No, I've not seen, honestly, not seeing any of the DCU stuff. Um, I've seen both suicide squad movies.

Um, and then I've seen a peacemaker, which is fantastic.

That's the tone they're going with from, from here on out then I'm pretty excited for, for the DCU.

Yeah. And it's, it's, it's all, I mean, mark Marvel. I mean, say what you will that's I put out so much stuff. So, I mean, obviously people get burnt out pretty, pretty quickly.

Um, although they got to that, Dr. Strange and multiperson madness coming out in a few months. I'm super crispy. Um, so yeah, I mean like comedy movies are like super saturated right now. Um, but I, I kind of liked DC when they do like their one, like spinoff stuff. Like you got the joker movie and not you got this and I don't know, I don't think they're at plan on good incorporating this Batman into.

The other stuff I don't think they are. I think it's its own thing, which is probably for the best. Yeah. Um, but yeah, Nick, you ready? You just ready to just jump into this thing?

Yeah. So Harrison, as a preface, what's, what's your experience with, with, from games? What have you, what have you played? What have you, what'd you like?

What's your favorite from software game?

So I, I started, um, with dark souls too. I played it for probably a good 20 hours and I, and I dropped it. Um, nah, and I don't remember being necessarily stuck. Um, and then a few minutes later I picked it back up again and just fell in love with it. Like I know, I know Darcel Stu was kind of the, the weakest in the, in the trilogy.

Um, but I, I really liked, really liked dark souls too. There was just, yeah. I mean, yeah, there wasn't a lot of like backtracking and stuff like that, that you're kind of used to with, with three. Um, so, but I liked having that help world and kind of splitting off and go into, into Dick's different directions.

It's kind of almost kind of gives you the vibes of elbowing, um, because you can just kind of, you get to a certain spot, there's a boss. You're like, okay, I'm I'm way too under leveled. Let me go across the map and find, you know, a random ke with the boss in it and stuff like that. So, um, yeah, dark souls, two I've beaten.

Um, three I've eaten. Uh, bloodborne is probably my favorite out of all the souls born games. Um, I think Elvin ring is probably going to be my favorite at the end. Uh, but I haven't, I haven't played demon souls. Um, I'll play it whenever I inevitably get a PS five. Um, and I've actually never beaten dark souls one.

So I've always wanted to kind of go back and do that. Okay. Um, but Nick, I know yours is probably pretty similar to mine.

Yeah. I started with two dropped it and then played bloodborne, beat that. And then. Finished up to right before dark souls, three came out and then played three

and

then played dark souls, one on the switch and finished that then secure

and demons.

Yeah. Played plate and finished both of those. So I've pretty much played every

from game. And then, well, no, I haven't played that. I would like to do there. Who has? Um, yeah, so I like dark souls is one of my favorite franchises as far as just the, what am I trying to say? Like the genre? Um, I just love how action RPG.

I love it. I love it. I love that it's convoluted and frustrating. And, uh, I, I, I don't get mad the same way that I do with like halo. Like when I play hail infinite, like I'll get mad because I'm losing or whatever the case is. But with, with this. I mean, yeah. I get frustrated when I get one shot or something like that, but I dunno, it's, it's weird.

It's a weird diff I don't know. It's this weird. It's not a big, it's not a

big loss. And I think, I think that it's kind of accentuated now and, and nailed and ring because, and this is like one of the greatest parts of Eleanor ring is that when you die, you are, when you die to a boss, there's normally a, a side of grace right there.

So you can just jump right into it. You don't have to run through five minutes of enemies,

like you did in dark souls to like, yeah, we're like a, what is it? The, uh, the site, what's the site of something, what was it called? Um, the other, the man America sided sites, that's America, which are like Mo most of the time, right outside of a boss fight.

So you can respond there, you know, get your souls if you need to. And then if you can run away, run away. Um, so yeah, it does a great job of just. And again, this is the theme of this year, I think is just not really wasting your time. You can go in, do your thing, get out if you need to, um, you know, you're not punished.

I mean, the, the fight, the fights are still brutally hard as it is what you should expect from any sort of dark soul souls word game, but it's just, yeah, it just, it just, it's very, um, it's just very like, easy to get back to where you were previously. Yeah.

It's very, it's very thoughtful of your time, but it's still punishing of, of any

miscalculations

that you have.

Yes. So like, if you're not, if

you're too greedy.

Yes. I've had plenty, plenty of times like that, where I was just fighting. I think I was fighting like my fourth or fifth, um, or tree avatar and they're, they've all been the same, except for this one can do. Was it called something rot, something like that. Um, I can't quite remember Scarlet rod Scarlet rock.

Oh, is that the one in college? It is, yeah. The one. Yep. Okay. Um, so I beat that one earlier and I had, you know, I had sent out my, my skeletal men, the two that you can summon from mash or whatever. Um, and then I just kind of circled around the tree, you know, threw my fireballs at it. Um, got it down to like a very sliver of health, ran out of magic, got on a horse and just kind of circled around and, and was attacking it.

And I got it down to one hit and I charged in, and it did like this spitting move where it, it almost one shot at me. And I was like, see, I was like, I need to stop doing that because every time I feel like I've got the upper hand, it's like, no, you don't. And like, yeah,

like that, that video on Tik TOK that I posted today of me having the boss, that pretty much one agent.

And I went

in for the kill and I hit him and it didn't kill him all the way. And then you just immediately stopped me and it's like, that's like, that's like lesson number one with these games is you can't, you can't bite off more than you can. No. Yeah, if you, yeah, it a second. You think about getting that lap, that extra swing in there, just roll back or something or shield up, uh, w which, um, the F the first pro oh, the, uh, like the night.

Okay. Yeah. So, funny, funny you say that because I actually just, so I know when you first go in, you can go through the door or there's that key that you drop in? Um, I think I already told you this, but I didn't think I could roll up the cave and survive. So I completely skipped the tutorial, which I wonder how many people did that as well, because that taught you everything that you needed to know about the game.

So when I got back, when I got outside, And this recent and we'll sit in there. I got murdered. I mean, I was, I didn't, I couldn't beat it anyways. Like I just had to sneak around or whatever, but I didn't know about dual wielding or, uh, to handing a weapon. I didn't know, um, about the jump attack for the longest time.

Like there was so many things I did not know. The jump attack

is pretty

critical to yeah. And that, well, I knew, I knew about that before, before that I went back into the tutorial. Um, but yeah, they, they taught you what the bond with the grace points did. Like I've never, I never got that text on the game and I was just like laughing the entire time, because like I ended up murdering that boss that that's right there.

Oh yeah. Yeah. So I thought that was funny. Yeah. I wonder that was a weird choice for, from, to do it that way. And I, and again, I wonder how many people skip that part and, and probably many of those people were brand new to the series that, that jumped in because of the. And they're like, man, this is like, I've always heard it.

This is a brutal game, but they don't even teach you how to play it, play it. And it's

an noodles is kind of funny. You

bring up a boss. Okay. I know what you're talking about. Noodles. Okay. The one you have to die to. Yeah. Apparently you can beat it. So, yeah. But it's funny. It's funny that they bring up the, um,

the tree Sentinel because that's, that's like one, also one of the first lessons of the game.

It's like, just because you see a boss doesn't mean you

have to doesn't mean you have to find it yet. Yeah. Which

is like the complete opposite of a lot of other games where, you know, the first boss you see is the first one you fight. Whereas like this one, like I got smacked about smacked around by the, by the Sentinel.

And I was like, okay, I'll come back later. Like granted, I came back like

just a few hours later and managed to kill him. But. Yeah. Like,

I don't know. It's, it's kinda, it's kinda weird because so many new people are coming into this game and coming into like this, this franchise of games. And like, they just don't understand that you don't have to fight.

You don't have to fight a boss. You don't have to fight. Um, what's his face super early. You can go off and explore

a level up,

collect golden runes and use those to love. Love, like there's so, so many other options of things you can do before, you know, forcing your way through a boss. Yeah.

Yeah. It always kills me noodles whenever someone rage quits, like so early in a game and dark souls game.

Because if you just, if you just push back past that one boss that you can't beat, like eclipse, I feel like it clicks for you. Like it takes like, it took me a while for the combat to click and Sakkara I think, I think really that the, the BA I can't remember its name, but the boss that you. Fight on the horse for the first time.

And he's like in that big open battlefield, that's where it really clicked for me. Um, cause you had to learn it because I had to learn how to yeah. You had to learn how to pair it and all that stuff. Um, which is nice in this game because I feel like I'm a little bit better at pairing and shielding and stuff because of a second row.

Um, but yeah, I think it's, I think it's funny too, how like the game, you know, when you get to a Gracepoint, it always kind of points you in the direction that it wants you to go and it points you really early to go fight mark market. I always forget market the really the first, probably the first boss are going to fight in a game.

Yeah. On, on the bridge. I think it's a more Marguerite or margin or something like that. Margaret. Um, and that's like the first boss that you're really forced to fight to move along the story. And so many, like, you're just, you're just going to be under leveled, but then, you know, you can, I went back to that little first kind of, um, not town necessarily with like the first settlement with all the, you know, the enemies and stuff.

And then you just, you go right on the map and you're just like, oh my God, there's so much, there's so much other stuff. Yeah. Yeah. I think I

find Margaret pretty

early on like probably apparently there's a secret path you can get around them. So I S I S I

discovered that, and like, I kind of got

to, um, the hernia through that, but, you know, I, I wanted to go in and go through the, the castle and find all the

bosses.

So I went through and I did Marty, like pretty early, like, and I had summons and I have the, you know,

Ash the Ash summons or whatever they're called. So like, it wasn't, it wasn't too bad, but

like I'm saying a lot of people on Twitter, they're struggling pretty hard with Margaret because it's like

the first, the first roadblock at the game.

Yeah. And miss, you can totally miss that first. Ask someone if, you know, if you don't go back to the church of Ella or whatever it's called, um, which that's pretty mainframe confusing. Yeah. It's, it's crucial. Uh, and I, I have probably about seven, six or seven summons now. Asherman's um, I didn't realize that, that I, I did end up getting Nick.

Did you ever fight? I'm sure you did the, uh, like the ghost that's on like the, the boats and the yeah. On the water. So you get the skeletal. Um, I didn't realize that they can regenerate if they don't get hit, which is it? Doesn't tell you that in the description. I didn't know that. And it also doesn't like telling you like the different damages that it does.

And I think it's just, it tells you how much, uh, FP it uses. So I didn't know that, so that was cool. How can you, how can you see

who, how

much damage they do? Well, not, not damaged. I said, I wish it did because I don't know if one person's good. Yeah. I've unlocked the ability to where I can upgrade my ashes.

Um, but I still don't know, which is really more powerful. Um, but yeah, there's just, yet there there's so much to this game that, you know, if you're, if you're new to it, you know, try your best to, you know, to go around and, and, and, uh, just discover stuff because there's so many items that you get that can, um, probably a lot of items you can't use just based off level, but, um, Yeah.

There's so much stuff you can find and yeah, it's just,

yeah. And like, I, I get, I get a lot of people's

sentiment. Like the opening hours

are pretty tough. Like you're kind of scrounging around trying to get good weapons essentially, and, you know, kind of stumbling into these bosses that are kind of annihilating you and, you know, it gets really tough, but I just push, just push through it.

Just try to push through, um, just level up, collect those golden runes and keep them on you until you're by, uh, a point of grace or a side of grace and use those level of on the spot instead of risking losing gear

runes. Yeah. Yeah. I I've, I've totally like there's, there's just, there's so much items in this game that it's, it's almost overwhelming.

Um, Just cause there's, there's so many and that's, I mean, that's all the souls games. You just get so many items that you just have no idea what they do. Um, but I, again, and I'm looking at you you'd be soft. I'm like they're having no icons on the screen other than the grace points. Um, it is, it's pretty refreshing.

It's so refreshing. I, it just, it allows me to just go in a direction and not know if something's there or not. But I mean, when I start time, there is, you know, where you'll find a boss that's running the world or you'll find, um, a really cool cave or something. Like, I feel like they took like the, um, from, uh, bloodborne, the, the chalice Dungeons.

I feel like they kind of use that and made these kind of random little Dungeons that maybe have a boss at the very end. Maybe they just have a good weapon or an Nash or something like that. It's just, there's so much stuff. Yeah. I mean, you could just blow hours on just this discovering stuff without even having to worry about finding a boss or, you know, advancing the story.

Yeah. And like,

I'm at the point with like, Brad, I don't even really care if I get a good item or an item that I like from a boss, because there's just so much satisfaction and beating a boss that it's kind of enough, like

yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yeah. Well, what was your first boss that you fought? Do you

remember?

Uh, I mean, obviously Theresa, no. Uh, I thought that one verse and got obliterated and, but the first one I think I beat was probably the dark night or whatever. The one that's on the bridge at nighttime. Oh really? That was your first one. It was my first one, so yeah. Wow. That'd be it. Uh, I died a couple of times and I think I beat that one and then I'd be.

Um, the first, like ever-growing ever goal, you come across the, the, when he did the tech talk about Nick, the bloodhound or whatever, and blood night, something like that, or the

crucible night. Um, that was the one that I did. The

Perry, the dad, I think it might've been that one. No, no, it wasn't that it was not that one.

It was like, this is the one all the way in south Lim

grave. Yeah, I think so

that drops the bloodhound sword. That one. Yep. Yeah, it was like the bloodhounds night or warrior or something like that. So that was, I think it was like the second one I beat. Um, and then I, eventually, I ended up, you know, fighting, fighting Margaret and, uh, barely scraping a car after that.

But getting the Ash on them was definitely super useful. Yeah. Um, at that point, and then I think, and I beat, well, obviously I beat the, uh, that, um, that goes, that was on the ship or on the boat and he was super. Uh, yeah, especially in the horse. Yeah. And there's, there's just, there's so many bosses in this game.

Um, I mean, in some aren't necessarily hard, they're just pretty, pretty easy to fight. Um, and you get some good stuff out of them. So not every fight you come across is going to be absolutely brutal. Um, you know, there, there's a ton of like just random enemies that are challenging to fight. Like, fuck the majors, dude.

I hate majors in this game for real. They, they suck. Uh, I came across one, I think it was like KA Karen study or something, but you, you go in and you take, uh, an elevator up and is, this is the first time I ever got like a staff in the game, but oh, I, I think I know what you're talking about. You go up and like, all the messages are like made your head die.

Death is ahead or something. Try finger butt hole, you go up and then. This may just decimated me and they may just have always been like super Opie and yeah. And, and our souls games. Um, so I just ended up running past them. I did, I ran, I ran past them. Um, and then I ended up going up. Cause I think you go up like another elevator and then you go up to play this, uh, like rap, like raffles.

Like what is it? Like the rafters, the rafters. Yeah. And I was freaking fighting a rat and he shot me from like the first floor and killed me. And I was like, dude, screw this man I'm done with this guy. I think I dropped like four or five ruins that four or 5,000 ruins at that point. And I was like, nah, I'm good.

The same thing happened to me say that. And then like I got up there again and I got to the top rafter and a random rat came and killed me. I was like, I'm good. Brutal in this game, dude. They are,

I had gotten everything out there. So like I was, I was fine dying

and leaving, but I was just. Yeah. Yeah.

There's there was like a couple of items, but I don't think there's anywhere else you can go.

Cause I thought eventually, like there's like a bridge that came out from that thing. Or maybe we're, I'm sure we're talking about the same one, but on the back, it we're talking to someone on the map, it looked like there was like another structure that was across the water or something like

that.

Surround I didn't see any doors that you could yeah, you could go in. Maybe I need to give back

and try to get that. Well, I know it doesn't go up that once you, uh, right after the grace point, when you go run that wall, if you go up that, uh, elevator, there's actually a window right there that you can jump to.

Uh, and then on either side of the, on the walls, there's those hands there's creepy hand monsters. Yeah. But if you look down, it's just like a dark pits. I don't know if you can jump over the pit and make it, but I haven't tried, but yeah, there's just, there's just so much stuff that you can just come across.

Yeah. Whether it's meaningless or not the story, or it's just, man, there's

been like, just so many. I want to say like bloodborne moments of just kind of like horror or terror. Like, I won't spoil anything about it, but there's there one castle in, uh, Urania pardon? It's called hernia. Yeah. Leon. Yeah. There's one castle, like up to the north.

And the second I got in, I was like, this, this is a horror castle. Like, this is, this is pretty freaky. And I, I told you about a little bit

with the, with the hands, but yeah, man, it's, it's a cool, it's

a cool castle, but like it's like honestly

pretty freaky. Yeah. Yeah. There's always, there's always a few like levels of.

Uh, any dark souls game, um, that are, that are like genuinely just an Irving, like stuff that you'll, you'll like, I know there's probably other items here, but I'm just not going to go back cause I don't want to. Yeah.

Um, do you end up going back to that legacy dungeon and fighting that boss again? Which one?

The,

the, the one, the one that you were fighting last night and you're like, yeah,

I'm under leveled. Uh, are you talking about like the mages, like school or whatever? I haven't tried again. Um, I haven't tried again, like I'm at a point where like, I don't know exactly what all the different like, cause I guess my big thing is like, obviously there's millions of different types of builds you can make, uh, I'm kind of focusing on like sword strength or whatever, and then like a little bit of magic, which is what I usually do.

Um, But like, I get to the point where it's like, I put a, I put a tear in, or I upgrade my strength and it only does it, like by a one point. Yeah. So like, I don't know if that's me, if I'm doing it wrong or what the case is, because like I'm trying to find a cool weapon or something and I'm close to it.

Like, I'll spend the extra couple of point levels to upgrade my dexterity, to be able to use that weapon or whatever, whatever it is. Um, but like, I'm getting to the point where it's like, like diminishing returns. Yeah. Diminishing returns.

Well, it depends on, it depends on what the attribute of a weapon is.

So if the weapon has like an attribute of, of C in strength and like a D and

dexterity, do, do you

know about, do you know about

this? Like the scaling? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Well, just like the leveling up in general. I don't see a ton of difference. Like health will go up like 30, 40 points each time, but everything else is schemes.

This seems like it's, the return is smaller and smaller. Yeah. I'm not sure about that. All I know is about the, the weapon attributes. Okay. Well, like, I mean, when you look at, like, when you go to strength and you go from like a level 17 to 18, like if I look at like the, the right or an ornament, um, or, or, or mint, um, you know, it'll go from like 1 56 to 1 57.

Yeah. I th I

think it'll just kind of vary based off of what exact level

you are. Okay. Like maybe I'm like a level 38, so I'm like, I'm not super deep level-wise.

Yeah. I mean, I think there were, there were some levels where I gained two or three. Points in strength or

dexterity. Okay. Well maybe, maybe I just, I'm just, maybe I, maybe I'm just expecting too much.

Cause like, if you, if you go to hell, like it'll do it by 40 or 50. So I guess, I guess that makes sense for strength. You don't want it to be too quick to upgrade. Um, yeah. I mean, just, I guess let's just go back to the overwhelmed and stuff. Like, you know, I feel like, I feel like Zelda breath of wild changed the game and it came to over like the open world.

And I think this is the next step. Like, I mean, we haven't talked about the horse combat yet, but this is the, the, by far, the best horse combat I've ever experienced in the game. Period. It's phenomenal, but good, good.

Well, no, it's just it's so it's so responsive and it, it feels impactful like,

like in Zelda, like it doesn't really feel like you can do much from a horse.

No, no. I would never attempt to doing anything on a horse other than just the. But on this, like, of course combat is genuinely helpful. Like it like trying to fight a dragon about it in this game. Like good luck.

Yeah. I've used it for pretty much, most of the overworld bosses, aside from the ones

in the, um, uh, what,

uh,

what are they called in the

that's the problem with scheme? Everything has an obscure name and the Everett ever goals.

Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You can't swap them there. Yeah. And he can't even spawn at summit and oh yeah. And everybody it's weird. Yeah. I guess, I guess there's, there's like a, really like the challenge bosses then right after the game, because it doesn't mean all the ones that are going pretty hard.

Yeah. Oh, I came across one that was like a giant, like one of the giants and I was like a diet and I was like, oh, I'm good in that. Yeah, I never go. Yeah. Like, cause I had a giant, yeah. I came, I came in cause like they always, it gives you like a little bit of time to get ready. And then when you approach like the blue mist, they come out.

So like, I always have like a fireball ready to go and I'll throw it at them and get like a little bit of, you know, easy damage. And I went to do that and then all of a sudden it was just like in my face and I was like, oh God, I'm very wet. But yeah. I mean, yeah, I've definitely like up, like for the most part I've, I've stuck with my main, like the first starting weapon and I've just upgraded that.

And then finally I've switched over and started dabbling with some other stuff. Uh, but I haven't really had a problem damage wise. Um, now w when I was in that major, um, castle, whatever, um, I could definitely see that was under leveled tab. That's why I backed out, but, and

another, another, like, and this might be useful for newcomers.

The ashes of war, you can use those. You can put them on specific weapons and change the attributes of that weapon. So you can change, you know, a weapon that has a, you know, a D and strength in a E and dexterity, you can make it have a D and dexterity or a C index Terri dexterity. So it will scale better with your bill.

You can kind of change it around like that. So I've done that a few times, and right now I have a sword that I, that I really

liked because of it. Yeah. It's I mean, there's, I get, like, just going back to the horse combat, like it's so responsive. I mean, even, cause I guess the biggest problem in most games with horses is like turning around is always a struggle.

Uh, this game is it's snappy, it's quick. And then even if it's, it kind of messes up or whatever, you just double tap and you can double jump, like having a double jump at the horse is brilliant and a trouble. Um, yeah, it's just, it's amazing.

I have.

My location's list up on here. And I'm just trying to

like, think of, think of everything that I've, that I've done, but

yeah.

I mean, even, even limb grave, just like just that area alone has probably 15 to 20 bosses and, you know,

it looks like

20 to 25 different sub areas that you can go to. Yeah. There's like, I,

um, when I went out to feed that dragon in the lake, it was like, oh, you can use the heart to at the dragon yeah.

Ceremony or whatever. Um, communion. And I was like, well, what the heck is that? I tried to look up, but I didn't see anything. And apparently it's like right beside the first, like the beginning of the game. So I went to the back to like the first, um, with the tree set and Liz and I cut left and jumped down and find a cave.

And that was, that was technically supposed to be like the first like offshoot cave you find. Um, cause there's like a. Uh, a boss fight, but it's, it's two, two warriors or something like that. Oh

yeah, I did that pretty late too. Yeah. I

mean that at the beginning, and I feel like that happens a lot with ourselves.

Like I just, there's so much stuff I missed in the beginning and I go back and just blow it out of the water. And then I ended up getting like a dragon ability, which I can't use yet. Cause I have to get my thing, my arcane up a little bit, but I

do one of the dragon abilities is really, really good for like an AOE

attack.

Okay. Yeah. I got the one I think shoots fire out or something like that. It's like, it's like the one that the costs the least to use based off of what I have right now. So I think I have the dragon breath sounds pretty good. Yeah. Um, Yeah there. I, I feel like I could talk about this game for hours and right now I just really want to play it.

Um, yeah, it's just, it's, it's very rare nowadays that like, when I'm not playing this game, I'm just thinking about it. Like I could not sleep last night because I was thinking about, think about what you wanted to do next, what I want, or you want tomorrow. It's like, I know I've, I've got I've this boss fight.

I can't really be, uh, oh, but I remember this one spot that I, I got a, a grace point, uh, right next to a Dunn or right next to a cave. So I can go do that tomorrow and see what I can get out of that. Like,

it's just, you know, this, this really reminds me of the story that you told me

about you and your friends playing Skyrim, and I'll let you tell it.

But yeah, so like the story is right around, like Skyrim came out like maybe four or five days later. Um, we were over at one of our buddies house and we were smoking some hookah, whatever. And. We are, you know, we were talking and talk about the game and stuff like that and, uh, you know, laugh and having a good time.

And there was about, uh, about 32nd pause and then I'll be all collected with like, I want to go play Skyrim right now. And then we left, I played Skyrim. Like this went home. We didn't even like play together. We just went home and just went home and played it by your side. And like, yeah, it's, it's rare when I get a game like that.

Um, this is one of those games. This is one of those games. And that's why, like I mentioned game of the year earlier, but yeah. I mean, if, if Selma doesn't come down this year, like I just don't know what else could even come close. Like it is that it is that good. Yeah. Even if it does come out of this year, I'm not sure if it would.

I don't. Yeah. I'm not sure if it would match it. I don't know if it would match

Elton rink. Yeah. I mean, I know they're the rumored to have like actual Dungeons and stuff and the new Zelda. Add on top of the already fantastic breath of the wild. I mean, there's a chance, but yeah. I mean, it's just, it's so good.

Like it, it, the world is huge. It's a huge open world, but there's so many grace points. Um, and, and people that love that, that, that feeling of, oh, there's a bonfire. Like, thank God. Like you still get a little bit of that feeling when you're like, you're in the actual, like the legacy Dungeons and the legacy Dungeons and the castles.

Like you still get that feeling. And, and it really just boils down to just being a dark souls game at that point. Um, yeah. So, I mean, yeah,

it's good. It hits everything perfectly. It, it hits like the, the minute moments and dark souls and, and even bloodborne with like the legacy Dungeons. And then, you know, it kind of hits on.

It even hits on like games, like Assassin's creed, where you have these offshoot caves that you can do or offshoot areas, except they feel like impactful and they feel meaningful. And,

and then you have like all the world stuff, which is just amazing.

It's, it's almost done perfectly where number one, like the world, the world feels, it feels a real, like, it doesn't feel like it was created by game developers.

It feels like very natural. And it feels like imperfect

in a way that

yeah. That it kind of lends itself well to, to a video game and like that kind of immersion,

but yeah, there's, there's just, there's just so much stuff that I don't think I've seen, like all the different stuff that you couldn't even possibly come across.

Um, yeah. Was. Yeah. It's it's, it's, it's incredible. It's an incredible open world. Um, just, you know, riding around the horse feels so good. Like just know, climbing up walls and climbing up all this. Like, it just, it feels so good. Yeah.

And I had had like a kind of weird memo where I thought, I thought I had

found

like a secret area, like an offshoot area and it made me feel really good.

And I was like, oh, this is cool. Like, I'm going to go like, get a nice item at the end. Yeah. And it turns out like, after I had gotten through it, it was a critical path. Like it was taking me to a completely new area that was, you know, critical to the, to the story itself. And I was like, man, that, that, that's kind of cool where you feel like you're discovering something,

but it's actually the game kind of like

pushing you in a direction without you really

knowing.

Yeah. Um, earlier I feel like it really troubled me because I, um, I was in. Kaylyn. And I was, I found this, this, uh, it's skate or whatever. And I went through and it's, it was on a bunch of like minors. Like people like mining, like some or something, and you could totally walk right by them and they didn't pay you any attention.

But if you, if you stole the, the, the material, whatever, like you walked over and press Y, then they'll attack you. But then there's also these like praying mantis looking guys that were like, they're super annoying because like, they have this magic ability where they can like shoot a bunch of knives at you.

And it's just constant. Like it's actually really annoying. And I know there's more to that dungeon. It's just, I don't. It's really hard to defeat them and like, and they're also like on a different tiers as well, like ones on top of the little shack and the other ones on top of like the ledge. So it's really hard to just get to them.

Um, so I did that and then I was like, no, I'm good. I'm going to come back later. Maybe. Um, and then I went to a random, like cave and they're like, it's a trap ahead or something like that. And it was a, it was a chest. So I opened it and like this, this mist came out and I back rolled in and dodged it. Uh, and then the chest closed and I was like, well, that's kind of weird.

Um, cause I was expecting it to turn into a mimic or whatever from all the other games. Um, and I did it and I was like, well, Let's see what happens. So it took me back to that cave in Kayla and I was, and this was like an area of the starting area. Like it was a super random and I was like, that's weird.

Yeah. It's going back to the shack. And I was like, um, rolling out again. I

did have, I had, I did have one moment. I want to talk about real quick. I was in, I was in Kayla and I hope this isn't spoiler-y cause you know, we're just mentioning it, mentioning a name. It doesn't really have any meaning to it, but I saw this big tower and it was kind of like shooting off the cliff and you couldn't really jump to it.

And I didn't think it had any, like, I didn't think you could go there. I didn't think it had any real meaning aside from like aesthetically looking like a tower. But I saw like this, this, this branch I saw this,

you know,

it was a pretty thick one, but I was like, I bet I could climb that. I bet I could get over there.

And then I get over there. I see some messages, you know, there are signs of life, signs of life, so to speak. And I spend the next, like 20 minutes just climbing. You're walking

around the edge of the

building, you know, jumping between, uh, you know, jumping over a whole is

like going up, going down. And then

I found these ladders.

I went way up, way up, climbed around the building again, walked

around it and then finally got to the top

and found

a side of grace. Then I ended up

going, I went inside and there there's this whole thing inside. And I ended up going back down the tower by

like dropping off of legends and stuff. And like, I would drop off to a ledge and that ledge would fall and it would bring me down like a hundred feet, but I wouldn't die.

So it was meant to happen. Yeah. And then I got

done all the way to the very bottom and it took forever. And then I got to a box. And I did like two damage to this boss. So it was like, oh God, we're really not supposed to be here. But it was such a, it was such a relief. It's such a cool moment. Just

pure discovery.

Yeah. It, it, it, it rewards you like that all the time in this game where you even think there's like an ounce of the chance that something's going to be behind that corner or around the ledge. Um, it's, it's probably going to be there. Yeah. You know, it's, there's so many, there's so many instances like that where yeah.

It's just, it, it just rewards, you know, just, it just rewards, you know, exploring. And we haven't

even mentioned the,

the underground area. Yeah. And that was like, I totally just came across that at one point and came across this huge area. And everyone's like, I didn't expect this didn't expect bliss. And like, I ran up and there was like, these really kind of like stronger enemies and I beat him.

And then it takes you to this another like giant, like open area. I did not expect at all. And you have to like these bonfires to get to a boss and stuff like that. Um, and then, yeah, it's pretty much like, it was huge. Uh, so yeah. There's um, yeah, it's just making me want to play it. Yeah. It's yeah, it's, it's, it's a great game.

Like, uh, I don't know how much have you dabbled in like the co-op stuff yet? Um, I haven't dabbled at all. Really. I did, I did get summons. Like I don't, I don't, I didn't know if he had turned off, but like I was, it was what I was trying to get the, uh, the dragon to, to trigger. Um, I got some into somebody's world to take out the, uh, the, the, the invader.

Um, we ended up taking them out. Um, but that's the first time that's happened to me. Um, but I've dabbled a little bit in the co-op here and there. Um, mostly trying to help people try to beat market. Um, yeah, but haven't done too much just because like, I want to try to beat the boss myself without help.

And also if you have someone, someone in it's going to make the boss even harder. So that's true. So, but yeah, there

there's so many, so many good things about this game, but Harrison, what do you have, like any, any tips or like, do you have one recommendation for newcomers to make the game a little bit easier?

I mean,

let's say just really just explore just, I mean, especially like, cause I mean the starting areas are really not that, that brutal. Um, you know, you don't don't fight the tree Sentinel, just, just run to acid or walk past it, you know? Um, I would say don't worry about like, if you're finding a bunch of different weapons, find one that you think is good or the starting weapon, upgrade that one a little bit, um, to get that more powerful.

So don't, I wouldn't say. Your, uh, your upgrades into like a mini different weapons and have like, plus one and plus two of like four different weapons, just focus on one weapon, um, because you'll find weapons later, um, that are, that are gonna be better at some point, but I would stick with just one weapon.

Yeah. And you'll find spiffing

stones too. So don't worry about exactly.

Don't worry about the, about losing those. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Mainly mainly explore. Cause you just find so like there's some really great stuff. Like the ashes come in super handy when you're fighting bosses and, and uh, you know, whenever you can summon those, but Nate what's some, some tips you have for newcomers to the game,

I would say, find, find kind of like a one-note boss.

Like either like a giant that has really heavy attacks that you have to Dodge around or like the crucible night that is pretty quick and swings the sword and either just like fight them a bunch of times and try to learn paraphrase. Learn how to

Dodge ball better with the, with

the giant. I think just kind of getting that timing down is

super, super important.

Um, yeah, that, that first giant you come across when you go through the doors and like there's all the archers and stuff, or that they have, uh, they have some sort of projectile weapon and that giant jumps down off the ledge, backtrack out of that and let it come attack you because it'll follow you. And then that's really the best way to learn how to roll in and all that good stuff.

Yeah. Um, I was trying to fight all those people and the giant is death. So you're talking about in the castle. Yeah. Right, right. Before, like you kind of lead up to you, go through, like, after that little first settlement, you take a left. Um, yeah. You can also just run through them. You can, you can tell it to just like horse your way through it.

So, uh, and that's also like another suggestion too, is like, you don't have to fight and kill every single enemy to go through the level. You could just, if you could sneak past. And do it one by one or just complacent sync pass data, or just run through like the better chance to not have you, have you making it on the horse, especially on the horse.

Now when you're in a dungeon or something like that, a little bit trickier. Um, but again, there's a lot of spots where you can just run and you should do that and get to get to a great point. My, my

kind of my technique or mantra is I will give it, you know, of course the first try, I'm going slow and steady.

I'm taking my time trying to, you know, look out for everything. My second trial kind

of do the same thing.

And then if that doesn't work, if I am dying to the same person twice, I'll just run through it. I'll just run through this to the next, to the next side of grace.

And it tends to work.

Especially in the,

um, the storm

Stormville castle.

Like you can, you can run through that, that big open area kind of like midway through

the engine with all these guys out in the middle. Like you can just run through that. Yeah. I did that part one time. And after that I was like, I'm good. Yeah. It's like, I, I, I felt like I did it and that's it. And they, and their response.

So, um, they

respond, that's the thing they,

this always responds. Yeah. So if you, if you, if you do it once and get to the grace point, you're good. Um, and then also, like if you have like thrown daggers or about, or, um, subtle, like a projectile thing, like you can lower enemies towards you, um, as well. So you can, you can always do that.

You can pick them off and pick them off and have them come towards you and then, and then finish them off with your, with your sword or whatever you're using magic. Um, yeah, there's just so

much, so much options. I just won't get frustrated at the game. I mean, if anything. Can I get frustrated at yourself and change how you're change, how you're going about it, because if you can burn yourself out a wall and you still can't beat it, there's probably something wrong that you can probably go level up more.

You can go level up your weapons. You can get a new summon, you can go explore. I mean, there's, there's a thousand different options.

So yeah, don't think too hard. There are there certain areas in Boston that you're not meant to fight. And that's okay. Just if you, if you swing at an enemy and you don't see like yellow cutting down, you don't see yellow.

Yeah. Just, just back off and die.

That's a good, that's a good suggestion.

And then also, also like the, the ever-growing, the Everett goals are also really great spots to practice because your, your, uh, your runes will appear outside of that boss' arena. So you can always go back and there's always a stake of, um, Steak America stick a stick America.

Right, right beside there. So you can always go back and collect her and collect your rings again. So yeah, those are pretty forgiving. Yeah. Last thoughts on eldering Nick. I know we talked a lot about it.

I'm sure. I'm sure we'll have more, more to say next week, but yeah. Yeah. Maybe we should come in with some tips every week.

Give people, give people some hope.

Yeah. And again, like if you've played a dark souls game before, I mean, this one is dark souls. It is, it is that, that game to a T, but the OpenWorld element to it, um, just gives you a lot of options to, to kind of go around and, and, you know, learn how to play the game and do the tutorial roll to the right into the, uh, to the cave.

Yes.

Yes.

Um, but yeah, that's, that's going to wrap up the Alvin ring, um, discussion, um, Not much news this week, Nick, we didn't expect it to be because Elvin ring, um, is just in the world by storm taking the world by storm. Um, uh, quick, quickly, real quickly here. Uh, someone bought the, the silent hill domain, which is hilarious, um, because Konami just doesn't make games anymore and they forgot to renew the, uh, the trademark for that or whatever, whatever you call it for the, the, uh, the website names.

That's hilarious, but also not surprising by Konami at all. Um, and you know, I, I've never really played a silent old game, so I don't have like that affinity for that series, but I know a lot of people really want one and I don't think there's been one since like 2012. So it's been a long time. Um, yeah, they're hurting a lot of people once, you know, obviously we had like PT, which is, was going to be a silent hill thing, but.

Didn't happen, but, um, but yeah, we got a Pokemon presentation on Sunday. Um, which, I mean, it was kind of like lackluster up until like really the, I mean, a lot of like Pokemon go we'll put them on cafe mix. Um, this was a lot of Pokemon stuff. Yeah. Not, not in a Bookman direct or a Pokemon presentation. Um, we got some new RCS stuff.

We got a, a daybreak update, which I have not checked out Nick. Um, but apparently it's like some sort of story thing about like mass outbreaks that are happening in the region. So, um, I'm definitely, I go back to that game, eventually collect all the Pokemon. Um, I wish I would have done it before this 400 rain, but yeah, what can you do?

Okay. That's okay. Um, so yeah, I know another little update for that. I'm not sure what that even entails how big it is, you know, or if it's just a new mechanic or something, I don't know. Um, but I'll, I'll probably check that out at some point this week just to see what it is. Um, and then they did like some minor update to you can get shaman and Pokemon diamond and Pearl.

Oh, great. Uh, no, one's playing that anymore. Yeah. I'm good with that. Uh, but obviously Nick, the biggest reveal where you surprised, uh, Pokemon,

I was really surprised.

Yeah. I mean, I, I am, so my question to you is, is this too soon, is this too soon off the heels of RCS? Do you want another game like that?

Knowing it's going to have the trainer battles and it's going to have the gyms from what I can see.

I mean, I I'm, I'm definitely gonna, I'm definitely interested in it. I think if it's different enough from RCS and I think it will be, I don't think it's going to have like the actual catching mechanic. I think you're still going to have to battle post.

And I think, I think the overruled is probably going to be more, more populated with, you know, settlements people, things to do, whereas narcissist, it was really just Pokemon. So I think, I think it'll be different enough. I'm obviously gonna I'm I'm not going to get myself too excited. I'm not just going to dive in without really knowing what the game is, but like I'm, I'm, I'm decently excited for this.

I think it looks really good. I think it already looks better than RCS did in terms of like

the graphics, but

yeah, I've, I don't know if it's, I don't think it's too soon because it was probably two different teams working on RCS and, and, uh, Scarlet and violet. And then we know brilliant diamond and shiny Pearl was, was outsourced to another team.

So it was two different. Develop an element, but like for you, like, do you want to play another Pokemon game in December or November? We had just came off the heels of, of immigrant it's 10 months apart, but you know, they showed they

should Magnemite in that trailer. I was like, Ugh, I don't want to catch Magnemite

again.

I don't know. I'm I'm, I'm obviously coming off of RCS. I'm, I'll be optimistic, uh, you know, very optimist about the game. Um,

uh, but yeah, it's, I don't know. I I'm I'm of two minds. Like I don't, I could've, I could have waited longer and I thought they would, I thought that we wouldn't see gen nine, this is quickly. Um, but I mean, here we are. I mean, you know, I, I raise, I said optimist optimistic is what I meant to say, but, um, but yeah.

Yeah, I'll be, uh, optimistic about the. Um, but very cautious because, you know, I, we, we jumped into brilliant diamond and shining Pearl, uh, just also the kind of the hype. And that was an instant regret almost. Yeah,

that's it? Yeah, pretty much.

How do you like the starters? I mean, they look cool. I'll probably rock with either that cap hook them on or the, uh, what, what is it the, uh, oh gosh, like the little alligator guy.

Yeah, the alligator guy. He's I love both of those. They're just so cute. And then quickly, like some weird like duck thing. I dunno.

I don't think anyone's going to choose correctly. I think, I think they designed the other two too well, and didn't give enough

attention to that one. Yeah, I think that's okay.

It's all a bunch of poles going around, but like the cat one was the most popular followed by the crocodile guy. For sure. Sorry. I don't know their names at the top of my. Um, it is, uh,

for cocoa.

Yeah. For Coco and . Okay. Okay. Yeah, yeah,

yeah.

Hopefully, hopefully it's, you know, I, I would like for them to have the catch mechanic, but maybe, maybe that's just not that game.

Maybe they're just going to have, you know, the, uh, still going to have the open world kind of thing, but, you know, maybe it's more of like a, a wild area kind of thing where you still have to, you know, do the personal battles and stuff. So, I mean, that's fine. I mean, that's, I mean, we've mentioned that before that, if that's the case, I may just skip it.

I don't know. I'll have to just see, you know, as the more stuff gets released and

here's just a little snippet from, from the Pokemon company, but he said various talents blend seamlessly into the wilderness with no border. Um, you'll be able to see the Pokemon of this region and the skies and the seas and the forests on the streets all over.

You'll be able to experience the true joy at the Pokemon series battling against wild Pokemon in order to catch them now in an open world game that players of any age can enjoy. So it does say battling against wild Pokemon in order to catch them. I think that kind of indirectly says that you won't be able to just like catch them in the wild, but okay.

I don't know if,

I don't know if this game necessarily needs

God,

I feel like I'm, I feel like I'm, I'm going back on what I said like a month ago when

RCS,

I don't want there to be like 500 Pokemon and I want it to be like, I, again, they showed it back to my initial other stuff. Like I wish they would just make it like 120 new brand new Pokemon and fax it.

Um, yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I mean, obviously they, like, they usually do like 80 or 9,000 new stuffs and then incorporate all the other stuff. So, um, yeah, I dunno. Uh,

so let me ask you this with Pokemon Scarlet and violet coming out this year, later on this year. Yeah. We have w what do we have linear? We have Bayonetta, um, Zelda is supposed to come out this year.

Huge asterix by that, but yeah. Yeah. It's supposed to come out this year.

Um, you know, it's a rumor

that, uh, is going to come out  yeah. Wait, which say Starfield,

Starfield and Tinder. So I was talking to just Nintendo. Oh, okay. Gotcha. Gotcha. Sorry.

Yeah. Starfield the, uh, the great Nintendo exclusive,

uh, split.

Did you say this will soon? Splatoon three? Yeah. It comes out in the summer. Uh, may maybe a Metroid, something. Who knows. Yeah. At this point, this is pretty stacked

Holland. Xenoblade Chronicles three. Yep.

Like this is a pretty, it's looking into the best year ever for Nintendo, uh, coming off of like gaming in general.

Yeah. Like 2017 was like, I think Nintendo's best year. Yeah. Um, for sure. But

this could top that with three Xenoblade Chronicles, this is like the year of, of this is like the cul year to 2017. Yeah. Like all of those games came out. We just needed Mario Odyssey SQL, which yeah. Kirby has kind of that in

a way.

I really, I really hope everybody's good. I really hope it's good. Yeah.

I'm like, not as excited about it right now because I'm,

I'm playing. I'm not even thinking of other games right now. I've got my a hundred plus hour game experience for sure. Brittany was like, did you, did you beat that game already? I was like new,

unfortunately for you.

I did not.

Um, so yeah, I I'm, I'm, I'm excited. Um, I'm obviously less excited because it's two versions again. We're back to that nonsense.

Yeah. It looks like it's not, it's not necessary to do that. Yeah. Do two versions. Yeah. It's kinda, it's kind of weird that they're announcing it so close to RCS. I wonder if it's going to hurt sales

at all?

No, I don't. I don't think so. Um, I don't think they're there because they said later, later in the year, so I think they're probably going to be spaced out enough and pick them up. Fans will eat up anything they want. So, yeah. Um, so yeah, I I'm, I'm excited. I'm uh, uh, you know, I'm mildly excited. I guess I don't necessarily the thought of playing another Pokemon game right now just does not interest me in the slightest, but maybe closer to that time, I'll be more excited once.

The review cycle and, and marketing cycle and stuff hits for that game. So yeah,

I will say I'm more excited about this than I was with sword and shield. Yes. I think, I think this looks like, I think visually this looks a lot better and kind of looks like a more interesting location. So

it must be like a Spain yeah.

Spain theme. So yeah, I, yeah. Well, we'll see, we'll see what the future holds for old Pokemon violet and Scarlet's which one are you, which one would you get if you got, if you got one, probably that violin, that part. Okay, cool. I was

going to get Scarlet.

Um, what did they have? I mean, they haven't announced like the legendary, right?

They didn't, they didn't show cover. It was just the name, right? Yeah. Okay.

And this is the first time they've gone or the first time they've gone with colors since black and

white. Yeah. Which is cool. Like I didn't, I didn't really. Sudden, well, Solomon was okay, but I don't know, like sword and shield, just everything about sword and shield is it was not a fan of yeah.

Was, it was Solomon in the last game before sword and shield.

Thanks. So black and white, black and white to everyone. X and Y that's right? Yeah. Yeah. And then sun and moon that's Unimin and then, and then sort of shield. Okay.

Um,

yeah. Yeah. I, I, you know, we'll, we'll see, we'll see how I feel when it's little bit closer to that game releasing.

Yeah. But yeah, that is going to, uh, to wrap up the news and it's also gonna wrap up the show. Um, I knew we were going to be majority of eldering. So if you're not into eldering or dark souls games, I'm sorry, but maybe you try one out. Maybe you should try one out. We will, we'll be back next week. And we'll talk some more about some elder ring.

Probably not as much this week as this week, but, um, definitely. Yeah. I mean, it's a. A hundred hour game, um, just to discover everything. So, uh, yeah, we'll be playing that for, for quite a while, but we've got Kirby on the horizon. That's going to be exciting. Uh, yeah. Um, I do go back to work next week, which is kind of a bummer for two days.

So two days is

fine. Oh, you're going back in the office.

Yeah. They're not going to get back in. Fortunately. I thought it would never happen for you if at all two days. So that's not too bad. I can't complain about that at all.

Also,

um, triangle strategy is, is coming out this week,

so we'll probably see some reviews.

I mean, no, not, not, not at the moment, maybe down the line. Yeah. Maybe, maybe at some point down the line, but yeah. So we'll probably talk about reviews if they come out. Yeah. I, I need

to check that demo out just to see if it's anything I would remotely. Hey man.

I don't worry about it right now. Oh, I'm not, not, you got other stuff going on at the Elton

that rang.

All right, baby. But Nick, where can they follow us on, um, uh, Twitter? They can

follow us on Twitter ads, gaming, WT, bros. We do a lot of like polls and talk about news on there. So, you know, check us out on there. We talk about like smaller news items on there that we might not talk about on the podcast. And then you can follow us here on Twitch at gaming with the bros cast, and you can also follow us on Tik TOK ads gaming with the bros

guests.

We'll be w we're probably gonna be posting a lot of, uh, Alvin ring videos for. Uh, I like when we both get into a game,

because then we're just like firing off ideas left and right.

Yeah. The hate, the halo stuff. I, I just, I just put up like four new halo videos on my, on my YouTube for the shorts. Um, I was just trying to get it.

I was just crying. I had like four or five on my phone for like, like two weeks. I was like, I just gotta get them off, you know, still, still playing that here and there. Um, still, still a good time after they fixed everything. Um, they're, they're, they're, I think they're in need of some new stuff for that game, whether it's a new map or, um, something.

Cause I'm kind of feeling the way people are feeling with, with the content stuff. Um, now that I've done with the battle pass and stuff like that, so, um, yeah, I need some new stuff. I'm I'm ready for like, they should be like, this is the month we're supposed to be getting like cope. Right? Coping forge did.

I thought we'd know. I think we're getting co-op in March and forge in may or vice versa. One of those two, maybe, maybe, or, um, I'm remembering,

I thought season two started in may. I thought they

pushed it back. It does. It does start in may, but I think we're either getting forward or co-op in this month or in March.

Um, yeah, that would be really cool, but yeah, that is going to, uh, to wrap up the show. We will see you. Excuse me. We will see you guys. Um, so you guys next week, same time, eight 30 Eastern time, uh, live on Twitch. Um, so yeah, come in, come and join us. Come join the chat, all that good stuff. You're

out and ring stories and you're out and ring hype.

What we'd

love to hear about it. Yeah, absolutely. But we will see you guys next week. Bye bye. Bye buddy.
